Solar/Energy Financings
Review of solar/energy generation and management proposals or solicitations received including power purchase agreements, Energy Savings Improvement Programs (ESIP) and demand response programs; provide assistance in evaluating actual financial benefit and savings calculations
Identify state and federal subsidies for solar and energy projects as well as other opportunities for financing energy generation and conservation projects. . Provide analytical and support services to determine the impact of such subsidies and opportunities on the cost and implementation of projects;
Coordinate applications for energy subsidies including BPU Programs, Clean Renewable Energy Bonds and other federal incentives;
Advise in regard to an appropriate and advantageous method of selling CREBS, or other energy tax credit bonds if allotment is received (e.g. competitive, negotiated, private placement) and work with bond counsel and other professionals in facilitating financing.
Advise in regard to an appropriate and advantageous method of funding ESIPS either through energy leases or refunding bonds
Coordinate applications to the Local Finance Board, and attend meeting, as required
Coordinate applications to any conduit financing authority, and attend all planning and other meetings.
Provide all quantitative analysis necessary to size energy related debt offering and recommend financing structure which includes repayment term, amortization, premium or coupon and other provisions.
Assist and advise in negotiations with investment banking group or private purchaser regarding pricing and final terms of any energy related debt offering and make definitive recommendations regarding any proposed offer to purchase an issue.
Assist in the obtainment of credit enhancement (i.e. municipal bond insurance, letters of credit, etc.) if needed.
